The forum is the TTOC (Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee ) 2016 Sports Marketing and Business of Sport Conference : Towards Economic Growth and Diversification -Trinidad and Tobago Sport Rising To The Challenge.
The TTOC is dedicated to advocating for an integrated , transparent, accountable , innovative sport eco system ,structure and culture that will enable and inspire a viable and sustainable Trinidad and Tobago sports industry.
The global sport industry is estimated to be between 400 and 600 billion US dollars.
Can Trinidad and Tobago carve out a niche for itself in the lucurative global sport industry?
The Opening session starts at 9am and will feature Kevin Roberts, Founding Editor of Sport Business International , his key note address is an overview of the Global Sport Industry Can Trinidad and Tobago Compete and Succeed .
Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Darryl Smith will speak to the topic - Sports' role in Economic Diversification.
Ephraim Serrette, President of NAAATT will address Policy Formation from a Sport Industry perspective.
At 1030am the opening session will end.
After a short break , the Conference will resume and throughout the day insightful and thought provoking speakers will address topics such as finance, legal, media and technology, marketing , business idea generation and the social impact of a successful sport industry.
The closing session panel discussion will include InvesTT President Mrs Racquel Moses and Mrs Joan Mendez, Permanent Secretary in The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs discussing the way forward for the Trinidad and Tobago Sports Business Industry.
The Conference is scheduled to end at 430pm.
